NUAST is for young students with a passion for engineering, computing and science. In collaboration with the Trust, the University of Nottingham and employer sponsors Toshiba, we have developed an innovative design based around the concept of 'learning cluster companies'. NUAST connects the worlds of School, Higher Education and industry.
At the heart of the development, the Toshiba Innovation Centre will allow students to test Toshiba's very latest innovations in a virtual experimental 'sand-pit' environment.
The Centre, together with the blended super-labs, CADCAM suites and advanced technology suites, will allow students to develop ideas from concept through to production. The building's form showcases the academy's specialisms through large glazed panels, while enclosing the prominent urban site, sheltering external social and learning space from the adjacent dual carriageway.
